Sacraments

Marriage
The sacrament of marriage is entered into for life. It is established by the consent of a man and a woman in the presence of the church minister. Please contact the church office a minimum of six months prior to any permanent arrangements. Additional requirements and preparations will be explained at that time. No permanent arrangements should be made before talking to the priest.

Reconciliation

To obtain reconciliation with God and with the Church, we examine our conscience and confess to a priest all the unconfessed grave sins we remember. Reconciliation is before Saturday Mass from 4:30 pm to 5:00 pm, or by appointment. During the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, a parish celebration of reconciliation is held. For more information, call the church office at 979-548-2020.

Anointing of the Sick

This is a sacrament of healing for the seriously ill, not to be considered as only “last rites”. Please call the church office to make arrangements.

Baptism
Baptism is the first of rites which begins our journey by incorporating us in the body of Christ, that is the church. Baptism preparation class is required prior to a baptism for both the sponsors and parents. For information on SJA Baptismal Preparation, contact Norbert Kuba at 979-345-5797. For information on OLPH Baptismal Preparation, contact Rosario Borrego at 979-548-3614.
